Melissa Hughes joined the firm in 2023 as a staff accountant. Melissa is a 2001 graduate of the University of South Alabama where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She also received her Master of Accountancy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002. Melissa comes to Smith Dukes with a tremendous amount of experience in both Accountancy and Administration. She started her career at KPMG and has worked across various industries while building her family. In her free time, Melissa enjoys volunteering, traveling, and spending time with her husband and 3 children.
